Lakeside runs full-hookup RV sites with 30 and 50-amp service on paved pads, in both pull-through and back-in layouts, so a winter-long stay or a weekend both work. A dump station, propane, and firewood are on site. Cabins join the RV sites, though non-service animals aren't allowed in cabins. Most sites hold 2 vehicles, with free office overflow and storage at $10 daily or $100 monthly. Overnight rates start at $40, monthly at $540.
You're just off I-12 with Baton Rouge a short drive west for dining, culture, and Louisiana State University. The Denham Springs Antique Village sits close by for a slow afternoon of browsing, and L'Auberge Casino offers an easy evening out.
