Shady Shores RV Resort & Campground sits along the south shore of Lake Ontario in Fair Haven, New York, between Syracuse and Rochester. Our waterfront campground offers RV sites along Lake Ontario and Blind Sodus Bay, giving guests front-row views of the water and easy access to boating, fishing, and beach days.
Many guests return year after year for our seasonal RV sites and relaxed lakeside setting. Whether you’re planning a weekend getaway or settling in for the summer, Shady Shores makes it easy to slow down and enjoy time by the water.
Inside the park you’ll find a private beach, boat ramp, laundry facilities, and plenty of space to gather with family and friends. Step outside the campground and you’re minutes from Fair Haven Beach State Park, local marinas, and the small-town charm of Fair Haven.

Shady Shores Campground sits on the south shore of Lake Ontario in Fair Haven, NY, with waterfront sites between Syracuse and Rochester.
Shady Shores runs RV sites with water hookups, several right on the waterfront along Lake Ontario and Blind Sodus Bay. Cabins and lodging give non-RV guests a spot on the water too. A dump station sits near the office at the bottom of the hill, and showers, a pavilion, and fire rings round out the basics. Overnight rates start at $45, monthly at $800. Up to two pets per site, no fee, and overflow parking is available as needed. [confirm: amp service]
You're in the Sterling/Fair Haven area with the lake at your door. Fair Haven Beach State Park sits right next door for swimming and shoreline trails, and Chimney Bluffs State Park is open year-round for its dramatic clay spires. Sterling Nature Center adds quiet hiking, and the Sodus Bay Lighthouse Museum covers local maritime history. Fort Ontario State Historic Site is a drive west toward Oswego. Fair Haven covers meals and supplies, with Syracuse and Rochester within reach for bigger runs.


Shady Shores Campground is located at 14955 West Bay Road, Fair Haven, New York 13064. Guests with reservations made at the campground will find a map posted on the door directing them to their site. Lodging guests will find their key on the counter inside. If the reservation was made through the call center, staff will provide a map and inform the general manager of the guest’s arrival.
