Fish Lake Beach is located on US Route 12, half a mile north of the intersection of US Route 12 and Highway 120. The Fish Lake Beach sign is positioned at the entrance.
From Chicago: Take 294 or Edens Expressway North to I-94. Exit on Highway 60. Go west on 60 to Highway 120. Turn left on 120, then continue to Route 12. Go half a mile north.
From Wisconsin: Take I-94 South to IL Route 21 (Milwaukee Avenue). Exit south (right) to Highway 120. Go west on 120, then turn right on Route 12 and continue for half a mile.
Overnight, rental, and monthly campers are allowed two vehicles at their campsite or rental unit at any one time. If a camper has only one vehicle, their visitors may park at the rental site. However, if the camper already has two vehicles, all visitors must park at the lake in the beachfront parking area.
For seasonal parking, vehicles of licensees, their visitors, and pass holders must be parked within the parking area of the licensee’s site. Additional parking is available in the circle drive by the fishing pier.
Vehicles may not be parked on roads, other campsites, or public areas such as the beach, pool, or pavilion. For safety reasons, visitors must park in the parking area by the pier at the lake if both spaces at a site are occupied. Guest vehicles not parked according to these rules must leave immediately.
To report vehicles parked in your parking area without permission, call 847-546-2228 while the vehicle is present. Do not use Facebook or texts to contact Fish Lake Beach staff regarding improperly parked vehicles.
Parking areas and driveways may not be roped or fenced off. Parking in a way that prevents the passage of other vehicles, including emergency vehicles, is prohibited. All roads must remain passable. Improperly parked vehicles are subject to towing.

Grace Period: Change within a few hours of booking — no fee.
Standard Window: Change your dates anytime before the cancellation deadline with no penalty.
Late Changes: After the deadline, changes are still possible (alteration fee applies), subject to availability.
Cancel Your Reservation
If you can’t reschedule, here’s how cancellations work:
Grace Period: Cancel within a few hours of booking — full refund.
Standard Window: Cancel before the deadline — $20 fee for short-term stays, $100 fee for extended stays.
Late Cancellation or No-Show: After the deadline, deposits are partially or fully forfeited (short-term: 100% of deposit; extended stays: 50% of first month’s rent).
Special rules may apply for holidays, events, or natural disasters.

Overnight, monthly, and seasonal campers may have dogs, provided they are leashed at all times except when inside the FLB dog park. Use of the dog park requires compliance with the posted rules. Dogs are not permitted on the sand areas of the beach or in the roped-off swimming area. Loud or incessant barking will not be tolerated. Dogs may not be left unattended at campsites. Dogs are not permitted in or at most rental camper units; the only pet-friendly rental unit is Z5.
