How many people are included in my space rental?

Up to four people are included in every space rental.

How much does it cost to add additional people to my reservation?

There is no charge for additional guests unless they are staying in a park model.

If I have visitors, do they need parking or day passes?

There is no daytime or nighttime fee for visitors. If your visitor brings a vehicle, they must check in at the front office and park in overflow parking.

Can my visitors use the amenities?

Yes, visitors may use the property amenities, including the splash pad.

Can I bring my own golf cart?

Yes, guests are permitted to bring their own golf car with license and proper paperwork. We do not have golf cart rentals on site.

Are companion or emotional support animals allowed at no cost?

Yes, there is no additional cost for any pet but they mush be leashed at all times.

Are there age requirements to rent an RV space?

Guests must be at least 18 years old to rent an RV camping space.

Is an ID required at check-in?

Yes, a valid ID is required upon check in.

Can I work on my car/camper in the park?

Repairs to vehicles are allowed as long as it is a minor repair.

Can I wash my RV in the park?

Yes, guests may periodically wash their RV.

Can I sleep in my car in an RV site?

No, car camping is not permitted.

Can I receive mail or packages?

Yes, guests may have mail and packages delivered before and during their stay. All items must be picked up from the mailbox.

Are the bathrooms and showers ADA accessible?

Yes, bathrooms are wheelchair accessible.

Is there an onsite laundry facility?

Yes, our laundry facility is open 24 hours a day.

Yes, our showers are open 24 hours a day.

Is there a maximum stay allowed?

There is no maximum stay allowed, we are happy to accommodate both short term stays and long term stays.

Where is smoking permitted?

Smoking is allowed outdoors but must be 75 feet from the store. Smoking is not allowed in the showers, laundry facility, or in the park models.

Do all sites have picnic tables?

There are 20 picnic tables located throughout the park. If you would like a picnic table at your site, please contact the front office.

Is there a dump station onsite?

There is no dump station onsite.

Is there propane sold onsite?

Yes, propane is available for purchase onsite both to residents and to the general public.

Can I fill my freshwater tank onsite?

Yes, each RV site has its own water hookup.

Can I bring outside firewood to burn?

Our facility does not have fire rings, no open wood fires are allowed. Only contained fires are permitted.

Are there prepared food options onsite (restaurant, snack shack, deli, pizza)?

Yes, prepared food options are available at the Country Store.

Is there a store onsite?

Yes, there is a convenience store onsite.

Is there a party or meeting place available onsite?

Yes, Sugar Valley RV Resort has a pavilion and barbeque pit. Please contact the office for more information.

Do you offer free Wi-Fi?

Yes, free Wi-Fi is available for use.

Do you offer satellite and/or cable tv?

No, we do not offer satellite or cable tv.

If I have extra vehicles, is there an overflow parking area?

Overflow parking is available for no additional fee.

Do you allow triple towing?

Triple towing is allowed if all vehicles fit in the space. If additional room is needed, guests may unhook and park in overflow parking.

How do I cancel my reservation?

A Typical Day

Drive out to a wildlife refuge or the bay to fish in the morning, let the kids run the splash pad and basketball court through the afternoon heat, then grill under the pavilion as a southeast Texas evening settles in.

Outdoor families and travelers crossing the state who want room and amenities at a fair price. All sites and cabins are pet-friendly. Sites come with full hookups, and there's RV supplies and propane on site. Overnight rates start at $30, monthly at $400.

Good to Know

Sites fit 2 vehicles; extra space means unhooking and using the free overflow lot in front of the store, with no street parking allowed. Houston is just over an hour up Highway 35, and the Gulf of Mexico is a 45-minute drive down Highway 60.
