Quiet, wide open, and honest about being unfinished. Concrete pads, a stocked pond, cypress and sandhill cranes, and 2 community fire pits where the free wood and the conversation both pile up. No gate, no crowds, no pool (yet).
Preservation Point sits on 230 acres just outside Inverness, Florida. Mature oaks, cypress, a private catch-and-release pond, and frontage on Lake Tsala Apopka. It’s Old Florida, the kind that’s getting harder to find.
Getting here is easy: 12 miles west of I-75 on US-44. Once you’re parked, it feels a lot farther than that. Crystal River’s manatee springs, the Withlacoochee State Trail, Ocala, and historic downtown Inverness are all close. Orlando and Tampa are each about 2 hours out.
All 221 sites are concrete pads built for big rigs: full hookups (50/30/20-amp, water, dual sewer drops) and free high-speed WiFi. Pull-through, pull-in, and back-in options, for a night, a week, a month, or the season. Pets are welcome.
Kayak or canoe the lake. Walk the nature trails. Settle in at the lakeside pavilion or one of the 2 community fire pits. Sandhill cranes, deer, and turkeys wander through most days (they were here first).
Preservation Point is a new build, and we’re still building. We’re planning a heated pool and spa, bathhouse, laundry, fitness center, clubhouse, and dog park. Come for a weekend or stay the whole winter. Either way, we’d love to have you.
Preservation Point is a new-build RV park on 230 acres of Citrus County, 12 miles west of I-75 on Highway 44, with the sites finished and the rest of the park still going up.
Every site at Preservation Point is a concrete pad with full hookups: [confirm: 30/50] amp electric, year-round water, and sewer. Back-ins, pull-ins, and pull-throughs all take rigs up to 70 feet, and 2 vehicles fit beside the RV as long as they stay on the concrete. Tiny homes and converted buses are fine in good condition (email photos first). Fires happen at the 2 community pits, not at the site, and the wood there is free.
You're 6 minutes from downtown Inverness: the 1912 Old Courthouse (Elvis filmed Follow That Dream in the courtroom), the Valerie Theatre, and the Withlacoochee State Trail, 46 paved miles you can ride straight into town. Fort Cooper State Park and its Seminole War history are 12 minutes out. Crystal River's manatees at Three Sisters Springs are 25, Homosassa's underwater boardwalk about 30. Hungry? The Cove Resort and Pub, Cedar River Seafood, and Salty Dogs Steamer are all local calls. Tampa and Orlando sit inside 2 hours for a loud day trip.
