We enjoyed our first stay so much a few months ago that we returned in the fall to visit a few more places we missed last time in the surrounding area. We had RV sites both times and they were wonderful! Clean facilities especially the main shower/ladies room. The staff was so attentive, friendly and eager to help with anything we needed. A little traffic noise but the facility itself was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. Nice flowing river for adults, kids & pets to cool off. A couple little ponds and active evening wildlife was really cool to experience. Gift shop, kids play area, tents, cabins. Near town but not within walking distance. For an RV spot, we would stay again.

Great staff and service! Check in was super easy. We had Roadhouse Cabin, when they saw that we had the max of 8 people they brought us extra towels, trash bags, and bedding right away. That was much appreciated. The location is great, the resort is beautiful and clean. Great river access too. Cabin was well equipped and clean and very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again!

This was the most quiet and peaceful RV site we have ever experienced. I don't know how with all the children and pets present, but both my husband and myself agree. The area is very nice. Well maintained and clean. The restrooms/showers/laundry - we used them all. The Dolores River is behind the resort, easily gotten to on a walking path. There are chairs set up in places along the river. Pet friendly. Plenty of walking places to take them. the staff we experienced were friendly and helpful. Definitely on our list to return to. We didn't use rental cabins, so I skipped rating them.

We stay in a one room no frills cabin every time we travel through Dolores. This place is magical especially after traveling for 9 hours. Most of the cabins are riverside or close to the sparkling Dolores River and it is perfect for our yellow lab to roll in the grass, swim in the river and play with the children camping nearby. Bring your own sheets, pillows, and whatever else you need to be comfy! Bathroom has granite countertops and are kept super clean! Love, love, love this place!

We really enjoyed our stay here! We only stayed 3 days but I can’t wait to come back. The spots are staggered so that your back in spot backs up to where the picnic table is for the people on the other side so that is really convenient and makes the space seems bigger. The laundry room was clean and people moved their clothes in a timely manner! Also $2 for the washer and $2 for the dryer is a very good price in comparison to other places I have done laundry. The gift store on site is a great addition. Next time I hope to check out the floating dock and fishing pond. Overflow parking is also a great addition.

We enjoyed an 8-day vacation in this area and were very pleased with our stay at Dolores River RV Resort. The individual RV spaces are large and there are beautiful trees all around to keep the place cool. The fishing pond and river are adjacent to the resort and accessible for enjoyment. There is a wonderful dog walk for pets and the place is kept very clean, including the bathrooms and laundry room. Most importantly, the downtown is only minutes away for food, groceries and fuel, and a short distance from all the excursions we enjoyed. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

This is a nice park but could use some TLC, which we've experienced with other RJourney parks. Staff was nice and we were on a fairly large site backing up to one of the ponds. The hookups are not easily marked and there are a lot of weeds (hence the TLC). Close proximity to the water and walking trails is nice and the town of Dolores is very cute. Will stay again given the opportunity.

Our family enjoyed our stay in the Conestoga Wagon. It was peaceful hearing the river and the beds were comfortable. They left extra blankets that we used during the night. And the little heater kept us cozy. The bathrooms were clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. We brought mosquito repellent and definitely needed it. The wagon has electric so we brought the coffee maker and waffle iron. We enjoyed playing in the river and hiking nearby. Dolores is a fun area to explore and we will definitely be back again.

The campgrounds were nice. The spaces were compact gravel and mostly level. We were in space 39 and the spaces around us were kind of close. Some of the others had more space between them. What was annoying was the level of the water spigots to attach your hose to. Most were in the ground covered by a lid. I had to dig around the handle to be able to turn it. After turning the water on, I found the pressure to be very low. I asked one of the workers and he said their water pressure pump broke down and it would be a week before they could get the part to fix it. Other than that and the mosquitoes (Mid June), the park was decent.

Awesome and beautiful location. Lisa who worked there was amazing and extremely hospitable. Ended diverting route home just to come back to this location. Will be back for river and site but left the review because how awesome Lisa was. Only negative experience was person who extended us for another night over the phone. Took 20 min and he moved us a spot over cause someone was coming in that morning to the space. About 90% of the park was available but they put tree campers right next to one another instead of giving us space. He was clearly new or not sure what he was doing cause I saw he double charged me which I’m having to dispute

We were so fortunate to have stayed at the Dolores River Campground. We stopped there to rest for a few days on our way home. The Park is well-maintained, and the staff is exemplary. On our last day at the park, we were involved in an accident with our tow vehicle which rendered it undrivable. Luckily for us, after an additional eight days at the campground, the bumper on the truck was removed and it was then deemed drivable which allowed us to head home to have it repaired there. The two couples that share the management of the park, Lisa and Daniel, and Jeannie and Jesse, were so kind to us. We were stranded without a vehicle, and they were constantly checking on us to see if we needed anything. We were so blessed to have met them and be the recipients of their kindness. When our truck was ready, Lisa even came back to the campground, on her day off, and took us to the repair shop to pick up our truck. They are truly great people who genuinely were concerned about our welfare, and they all do a fantastic job with all aspects of managing the campground. Thanks again for everything you did for us. We stayed at Dolores RV Campground in the Yeti yurt. You are literally 30 yards from the river. It is so peaceful, relaxing and beautiful. The campground is very clean and quiet. The hosts were nice and informative. The yurt can be a bit warm during the day but cools off very fast by early evening. The only thing I wish were different is that it had a screen door (which I noticed the Bigfoot yurt had).

Oh how I loved this cabin! What an amazing deal. Super super cute. I actually rented it for just me and my dog. It was much more space than I needed but so cheap that I couldn't pass up the deal. Room had a mini fridge which I did not expect! Don't forget to bring your bed linens!!!! Ceiling fan kept it nice and cool. Verizon cell reception and camp wifi worked outside the cabin but not inside. Bathrooms are really close and of course, so is the river. Bathrooms are really clean. Don't overlook the two outdoor showers behind the bathrooms!!!!! The hosts are so nice and helpful. The little camp store has ice and some of the essentials if you forgot them. They don't sell alcohol at the camp store (FYI) but Dolores is just a short drive away. I loved this place so much and will be back.

Dolores camp ground is clean and a great location if you love the outdoors. Fast flowing Dolores river (even in the heat of the summer) this river offers float trips, fishing and simply enjoyment. The grounds are shaded quite well from the heat, though the altitude is close to 8000, so quite tolerable temperatures wise, expecially in the evening. Great showers and toilet areas and they have a clean-up sink for your cooking pots and pans. They had the sprinklers going for children to run under, and large swing sets and a little clubhouse for kids. In the evening, you might need mosquito repellent. I have camped here for the last 5 years doing tent camping, but this year, I decided to rent one of their cabin. It is a no-frills thing, but it was definitely a step up from tent camping. I'll be back next year in the same cabin. If you are into the Ancient Pueblo thing, there is lots of cliff dwellings and ancient Pueblo sites in the area. Yes, this campground is under a new corporate management, but other than they no longer are offering cooked meals, I didn't see a difference. Someone commented on stinky sewers in the reviews. I did not experience this in my entire stay. Only the lovely smell of nature in is bountiful glory. Loved my stay.

What a sweet place to stay! The area was well maintained and clean. It was RIGHT by the river so, tons of mosquitos but, just part of being near it. We stayed in one of the back in premium spots, we loved it. Be prepared for cottonwood ....everywhere! Our rig looked like a goose exploded all over it. Just part of the experience though. The couple who manages the campground offered a broom and ladder to help, super friendly. Overall, we will return and bring friends! Only issue, the corporation that owns it has terrible website upkeep and anything that deals with communication. They need images of each spot as well, if a national forest campground can get pics of everything so can a corporation.
