My husband and I recently stayed at Applewood RV Resort in Wheat Ridge, CO. This is a no-frills place, but it's quiet with a park and walking trails next door. Close to many popular attractions. We especially want to thank Shawna for her attention to our needs

We stayed here for 3 nights. It is a small space, very close to other campers. However, it was quiet when we were there. Everything was clean outside. We didn't seek laundry or get to use the showers. We loved the walking trail around the pond and wish we would've stayed longer. Honestly, it's a great location. Close to Denver downtown. Very quiet, in our experience. The workers were super friendly and helpful when we needed an extra few nights after arriving. The only reason I wouldn't give it a 5 star is because of the small space.

Arrived alone in the dark with heavy rain and cold temperatures. Found my site was flooded and back up camera was broken. The office staff helped me out with a beautiful pull through space. They were responsive, friendly, and accommodating both late at night and in the morning. Every stay here has been wonderful.

I was here about 2 years ago. The park has been cleaned up. There is a great park next door, good for walking. The campground itself is not pretty but is the only place close to Thornton (suburb of Denver) to stay overnight. I was a little disappointed about being charged for electricity but to be fair, it was cold and I used my propane furnace and an electric heater. It’s only a few blocks to highway 70 so easy to get started to your next destination.

Derrick and Hope came to Colorado from Wyoming to help manager in training (Jimmie) I think they have been here about a month. In that amount of time, they have really whipped this park into shape. Everything from cleaning fence rows, trimming trees, laying gravel, fixed the brick address sign out front, etc. It is nice to see such a young couple with an excellent work ethic, which is hard to find these days. They are a good asset to your company.
Ron HurtJimmie and Arron are the best! Friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. I like the clean -up efforts... Keep up the good work!

For our purposes, place was a great choice. Located very conveniently, especially for the North and West side of the valley. Great trail system just on the other side of the property. Pretty quiet at night, well lit, all the hookups were in good shape and easy to use. Easy to get into, just off I-70. It's a user friendly place and will definitely return.
Howe's FishingKinda a open lot for RV's. Seems nice enough though. Was walking dog by it to get to a park behind it. So thats cool. ?

I loved this park so much. It was no-frills and the spots were a little tight but everyone was so friendly and made it feel homey. Perfect central location for visiting the surrounding areas of Denver and Boulder. The laundry room had plenty of machines and was very clean. They have a huge selection of DVDs and books to borrow, I thought that was a nice addition. There's a beautiful city park with cool biking and hiking trails as well as a little playground within walking distance of the park. The perfect spot to spend 2 weeks!

We had a great 5-week stay here in Wheat Ridge. They changed ownership while we were there and the new team is awesome. Super flexible and sweet. 3 huge selling points for us: 1. Network of trails right off the park. GORGEOUS hiking, bike riding, and casual paths—perfect if you have a dog or kids. 2. Clean and private bathrooms! Our shower was on the fritz so this was great. 3. Obvious proximity to I-70! BONUS: we loved the full-timers there. Such wonderful people. When we pass through Colorado again, we’ll stay here.

I am absolutely floored by how accommodating and kind and wonderful this place is. Nancy is a literal angel. I couldn’t be more thankful for her. This place blessed us in a time of need. A mild winter storm hit and we had no where else to go and Nancy made it work. They have amazing private bathrooms which came in handy since our water pump froze. I asked her if i could run my generator until a spot became available and she said “hold on” and she literally made it work to where we got a spot immediately so that we could plug up to power and our tank heaters could be on so our tanks didn’t freeze. Also, they have awesome laundry/ bathroom facility. They even have DVD’s and books you can borrow for your stay. I mean truly, we feel right at home. Nancy even gave me her personal cell phone and that just speaks VOLUMES in my book. It also helps that my moms name is Nancy… maybe this was more than just a coincidence for us to stay here ;) 10/10 recommend them. We are beyond grateful for you Nancy.

We are return visitors to this rv park. We love the hosts and they go out of their way to accommodate our needs. They have a bath house and laundry facilities, open year round. The back side of the park has a beautiful green space. It is fun to hear the geese and the cats love to watch the birds and squirrels. I highly recommend this rv park.

They were life savers. They had 1 site available the night before a snow storm was hitting. Driving over the Rocky Mountains with a camper in a snow storm is not ideal. Unfortunately, I work from the road and their internet was so terrible I wasn't even able to use it on a basic level (to check my email or Google something) which I thought was beyond surprising based on their location (20 minutes from DENVER). This should really be remedied.
Cathy BalloneWe have stayed here a couple of times and it’s always been amazing! The field and lake behind the RV park is great for your dogs.

The RV parking lot is a large lot covered with large rocks. The park does have long-term residents with older vehicles. The price for Denver is excellent. The staff is exceptionally helpful and friendly. The park is quiet!!! Very peaceful to stay here. There is some distance road noise. The laundry room was fine. There is a trail leading from the park to a city park behind with a lake, children's playground equipment, a creek, and best of all a bicycle trail that goes all the way to Golden.
