A laid-back mountain park along the Provo River, big with the ATV crowd. Riverside sites, blue-ribbon trout water, and a trail system that draws off-road riders from all over.
Roam Uinta sits on State Highway 35 outside Kamas, with the Provo River running through the property and the Mirror Lake Highway starting in town. It’s a laid-back mountain park with a loyal ATV crowd: the Cedar Hollow trailhead is a mile down the road, and Mill Hollow, Soapstone, and Strawberry Reservoir all connect from the trail system.
Sites are dirt and gravel, some of them uneven, so bring leveling blocks. The most-requested sites (2 through 6) back onto the river, which is blue-ribbon trout water. Lodging covers Cottage C2 (a queen plus a loft of 4 twins, with a kitchen and porch fire pit) and 2 Retro RVs on sites 48 and 49. Big rigs fit, though the park runs tight in places. Verizon works; T-Mobile and AT&T mostly don’t, and the Starlink Wi-Fi won’t carry streaming.
The Mirror Lake Scenic Byway is the reason most people come. Alpine lakes, trailheads, and the drive itself. Park City and Heber City are each about 30 minutes out for dining and supplies; Kamas, 8 miles away, handles groceries, hardware, and a decent pizza. If you’re comparing the area, see RV parks near Park City. No outside firewood (bundles are $10).

Lodging covers Cottage C2, a queen plus a loft with 4 twins, a kitchen, porch, and fire pit, and two Retro RVs on sites 48 and 49 with kitchens and shower-only baths (no pets). Eight long-term cabins carry a 6-month minimum. No outside firewood: bundles run $10. Monthly rates run $850 to $950 in summer and $800 to $900 in winter, plus a flat $150 utility charge.

Kamas, about 8 miles away, covers groceries and meals with Food Town, ACE Hardware, and spots like Summit Pizza, Mirror Lake Diner, and El Tigre Mexican Grill.

From the town of Kamas, take road 32 to the intersection that meets road 35. Stay on Road 35 for about 6 miles. As you get closer to the park, you will see the Provo River on the right-hand side of the road. Take a right onto Killcare Loop, and the entrance to the park is about 50 yards up on the right.
