Halloween camping is the best-kept scheduling secret in the RV world. The summer crowds are gone, the campfires feel earned again, and for a few weekends every fall, a handful of RJourney parks turn into small towns built around costumes, candy, and haunted trails. Kids trick-or-treat from RV to RV instead of house to house. Golf carts get cobwebs. Somebody always over-decorates their site, and everybody’s glad they did.
Here are 4 RJourney parks running Halloween and fall events this season, with 2026 dates pulled straight from each park’s events calendar (last verified August 5, 2026). Schedules can shift, so give the park page a quick look before you book.
Splash Magic RV Resort: 2 Halloween Weekends on the Susquehanna (Northumberland, PA)
Splash Magic runs 2 full Halloween weekends back to back, and they treat each one like a season finale. This is a 300+ site resort along the Susquehanna River, and its activity calendar runs deep all year (44 upcoming events at last count), so the Halloween weekends come with the machinery of a park that knows how to throw a themed weekend.

Elkhart RV Resort: Boo at the Park Weekend (Granger, IN)
Elkhart packs its whole Halloween into 1 loaded weekend, October 23 and 24, and the Saturday schedule reads like a county fair with a costume budget. It sits in Granger, a short drive from Notre Dame, so October up here already means football Saturdays and apple orchards. Boo at the Park caps it off.

Pin Oak, just off I-44 southwest of St. Louis, spreads October across 4 Saturdays instead of cramming it into 1. The park has run Halloween activities for years (guests still talk about the haunted house under the dining tents), and 2026 builds to the real thing: trick-or-treating on actual Halloween night, which lands on a Saturday this year.

Baraboo RV Resort: Halloween Comes Early to the Dells (Baraboo, WI)
Baraboo closes for the winter on October 15, so the park does the sensible Wisconsin thing and celebrates Halloween in September. Two themed weekends, a purpose-built Halloween Trail through the property, and a split that solves the oldest problem in family camping: 1 weekend for the kids, 1 for the adults.
2026 Halloween season at Baraboo:
- Sep 12: Halloween Trail setup day, chili cookoff (6:00 pm), and the Final Glow Parade (9:00 pm)
- Halloween Weekend 1, Sep 18 and 19 (family): picture station, Halloween Trail opens Friday at 7:00 pm; Saturday brings the kids costume contest (6:00 pm), kids trick-or-treat (7:00 pm), and the trail again after dark
- Halloween Weekend 2, Sep 24 and 25 (adults): adults-only costume contest (6:00 pm), adults-only trick-or-treating (7:00 pm), and the Halloween Trail’s final night

Pearl Lake RV Campground hasn’t posted a Halloween event for 2026, but its Fall Festival runs September 17 to 19 and guests who caught the park’s Halloween party in past seasons still bring it up in reviews. How to Plan a Halloween Camping Weekend
Book earlier than feels necessary. Halloween weekends fill the way July 4th does, and the parks above each have 1 or 2 marquee weekends, so demand stacks on the same dates.
Decorate your site. At most parks the RV-to-RV trick-or-treating is the main event, and the sites that hand out candy get the foot traffic. Pack a tote of decorations and a bigger candy supply than you think a campground could possibly need.
